All of the sessions will be run in a clinic based rotational fashion. Anyone from 5th to 12th grade will be eligible to train in these sessions. We will create skills groups based on age and ability making sure that no player will be too advanced, nor over their head within their group, creating the best learning environments for the athletes.
Youth Skills will include 6 days of practice as well as two to three competition days. All skills will take place Sunday mornings at MIT's Jack Barry Field in Cambridge, MA from 8am-9am.

Boston Field Hockey Club will take a U14, U16, and U19 team to the Shooting Star Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend Nov 24-26. Shooting Star is held in Midlothian, VA, which makes it a much cheaper and more convenient option for travel. U14 will play 7v7 on half fields while U16 and U19 will be playing full field 11v11. All three age groups will play 5 games each. This event is a premier recruiting event for all three divisions of field hockey.
With signing up for the Shooting Star - Thanksgiving tournament, you will automatically be enrolled in our skills sessions from 9-11 on Sundays. Skills training will take place every weekend from September 10 - November 5th (EXCLUDING OCTOBER 22!).
Additionally, Shooting Star players will have team practices for an hour (11:00-12:00pm) after the skills sessions according to the schedule.
Boston FHC’s Youth (U10, U12) program welcome’s new players to the game of indoor field hockey as well as younger players who are looking to continue learning the game and want to play in a fun, competitive environment with a focus on growth, team work, and skill work in a team atmosphere.
Our older players (U14, U16, U19) will be placed on a team based on age and skill level. The teams focus will be to develop indoor skills, tactics, as well as other basic through elite aspects of the game.
All teams will be guaranteed TWO tournaments (Youth will have ONE guaranteed tournament) as well as training with their indoor tuition. Additional tournaments will be at the discretion of individuals and teams for additional fees.
The top two U14 teams are automatically entered into the National Indoor Tournament at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, PA between February 16 - 19. IF selected to one of the top TWO indoor U14 teams, players will be committing to an additional National Indoor Tournament fee (around $550). The U-14 NIT is now a four day tournament format broken into two tournament waves. U-14 teams will end up only playing Three Consecutive tournament days dependent on wave assignment. Wave 1 = Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Wave 2 = Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
The top 4 teams in the U16 and U19 age divisions will have National Indoor Qualifier Tournaments. Please refer to the website to see potential dates and plan accordingly with your high school coaches. If qualified, players will be committing to an additional National Indoor Tournament fee (around $550) and tournament over 3 days in Richmond, VA (U19: Feb 23-25) or Lancaster, PA (U16: March 2-4)). The tournaments are all listed on our website.
